Days 1-2: Ljubljana & Lake Bled, Slovenia
Highlights:Arrive in Ljubljana, visit the Dragon Bridge and the City Square. Travel to Lake Bled, the “Eye of Europe,” take a Pletna boat to the island in the middle of the lake, and visit Bled Castle.
Days 3-4: Zagreb & Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia
Transportation:Cross the border to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, and visit St. Mark’s Church.
Highlights:In the afternoon, travel to Plitvice Lakes National Park (the “Sixteen Lakes”) and hike among Europe’s most beautiful waterfalls. This is the “Jiuzhaigou of Croatia.”
Days 5-6: Zadar & Split
Highlights:Travel to the coastal city of Zadar to listen to the unique “Sea Organ.” Continue south to Split to explore the ancient Roman ruin, Diocletian’s Palace.
Days 7-9: Hvar Island & Dubrovnik
Special Experiences:Take a ferry to Hvar Island, the “Lavender Island,” to enjoy the sun and beaches (seasonal).
Highlights:Arrive in Dubrovnik, the “Pearl of the Adriatic,” which was also the main filming location for King’s Landing in Game of Thrones. Walk along the ancient city walls and take a cable car to the mountaintop for a panoramic view.
Days 10-11: Dubrovnik & Surroundings
Options:You can arrange a day trip to the neighboring country of Montenegro to visit Kotor Bay, or enjoy free time in Dubrovnik to explore the alleys and taste seafood.
